  My name is David O'Hara, I'm the senior pastor/administrator of Central Baptist Church and Central Baptist Christian School of Brandon, Florida. (Don't let the titles fool you though, there is a loving group of people here that help the man match the titles.). My wonderful wife, Dawn, and our children, Yana and Joshua, greet you with God's blessings!

  Logging on  to our site means you are searching for information, and at this point I wish to offer a little information about myself. This is my "home church." When I first exercised trust in the saving power of Jesus Christ for eternal life, in1976, this is the church that I joined over 33 years ago. I soon surrendered to the call of God to full-time vocational ministry in 1979, and it was this church that licensed me in 1982 and ordained me to the full-time gospel ministry in 1989. Though God's will has directed me and my family to many and various places for ministry preparation and service, Central has always been our heartbeat. It was the very will of God that brought us back to CBC & CBCS in February of 1999 as senior pastor.

  Home for all of my family is Florida. Dawn and I have been married for almost 29 years, we have two married children (Both have surrendered to the ministry), and three beautiful grandchildren." My wife is the musician in the family. She can play several instruments and is a vocalist as well. She and I are Brandon Senior High graduates, classes of '80 and '78, respectively. My formal education includes: Hillsborough Community College (no degree), FL., Luther Rice Seminary (ext., no degree), GA., The Criswell College (BA), TX., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M-Div), NC, and a short, but interesting visit with Reformed Theological Seminary (D.Min, no degree), FL.I recently completed my doctorate studies and received the doctor of divinities degree.

  I am a conservative, evangelical Baptist minister preaching expository, exegetical messages expositionally from the never changing absolute truths of God's word in an ever changing, relative world system and post modern culture. (Sounds simple huh?) My desire is to exalt the Savior, edify and equip the saints and evangelize the lost sinners. All of this is done through discipleship (Matthew 28:18-20).
